The Norwegian Folk Museum did have a "proper" museum building, and one of the great exhibits consisted of church wares, alter pieces, etc. Unfortunately, we weren't able to get onto the floor where the pieces were since a guide wasn't available. Here is one of the unique pieces, which was an alter piece consisting of the text of Luther's Small Catechism:
There was also a small collection of vestments from the 13th-17th c.
