St. Mary in Castro (St. Mary's in the castle) is a circa 630 B.C., Saxon church. It was a great appetizer for Dover Castle.

The alter at the far end.
Close-up of the alter showing the mosaic tile-work.
Very beautiful stain-glass, our first in England.
Looking from the alter toward the narthex.
