Matilda Grace Odom

Our Lord sent His holy angels to bear home His sweet child tonight around 10:30. There was nothing else that the doctors could do, but Matilda has been healed by the Great Physician. We could ask nothing more.

It has been an exhausting couple of days, so if you call and we don't answer...

Thank you all for your prayers and support during all of this.

    1. Remove the first "upon" and that will make more sense.

  5. Neither life nor death shall ever
    From the Lord His children sever;
    Unto them His grace He showeth,
    And their sorrows all He knoweth.

  6. Death be not proud, though some have called thee
    Mighty and dreadfull, for, thou art not so,
    For, those, whom thou think’st, thou dost overthrow,
    Die not, poore death, nor yet canst thou kill me.
    From rest and sleepe, which but thy pictures bee,
    Much pleasure, then from thee, much more must flow,
    And soonest our best men with thee doe goe,
    Rest of their bones, and soules deliverie.
    Thou art slave to Fate, Chance, kings, and desperate men,
    And dost with poyson, warre, and sicknesse dwell,
    And poppie, or charmes can make us sleepe as well,
    And better then thy stroake; why swell’st thou then;
    One short sleepe past, wee wake eternally,
    And death shall be no more; death, thou shalt die.
    (John Donne)

    May the peace of Christ be with you in the midst of your sorrow!

  7. Wes and Kristina,

    Our hearts break for you as you miss your little Matilda and look forward to the day when you will see her again, whole and perfect. The very Savior that knit her together in the womb now holds her in His loving and perfect embrace.

    Please know that we are praying for you, for your comfort, and for your healing. May the sure promise of salvation given to us through Christ Jesus bring you peace.
