Picking apples

The apples in my parents backyard are ripe and Edith enjoys picking them. I enjoy the trees, the green grass, the water everywhere, and the nice cool weather.

Fun with cousins

Edith has lots of fun playing with her cousins, and since there are 17 of them (first cousins!) - although two are still babies - the fun never ends. She will be so bored when we go back home.

On Sunday afternoon my siblings, except for one brother and his family who where on vacation, got together at my parents house. We ate crêpes with jam and whipped cream, visited, played and enjoyed the unusually varm September weather (68 degrees F).

Traveling

The trip to Finland took a little over 24 hours from door to door, and Edith did really well, despite only about 5 hours of sleep. We are slowly recovering, even though we have yet to sleep through a night. Last night was the best, only 2,5 hours awake.

A bit of good/fun news...

Went to an estate sale today on a whim, and picked up this BEAUTY for $10. Yes, you read that right. $10. I almost passed out.

Kluvna känslor

Idag är en dag med kluvna känslor. Jag gläder mig över att få åka till Finland och sörjer vår Jesse, vars förlossning var beräknad till idag. Sådant är livet numera - alltid sorg blandad med glädjen.
